These are example of what is included in an RV Inspection of a Motor Home or Travel Trailer. See specific contract for items actually covered.

ROOF

overall condition, type, sealants used, condition, vents, skylights and air conditioners

SIDEWALL and END CAPS

overall condition, material, aging, delamination, entry and cargo doors operation,

SLIDEOUT ROOMS

overall condition, type, operating mechanism, roof condition, seals, sweeps and gaskets, wiring and harness

AWNINGS AND SLIDEOUT TOPPERS

overall condition, type, operating mechanism, manual vs electric, fabric condition

CHASSIS

operation of DOT turn signals and running lights, 7/4 pin connectors, chassis battery and compartment

120 VOLT AC ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

inspect and evaluate power cord, breaker panel, wiring type, size and security, verify 120 VAC to 12 VDC Converter

GENERATOR - ENGINE

inspect and record model, serial number and running hours. Check oil and coolant levels. Start and operate under load, check output voltage and frequency.

INVERTER (if installed):

Inspect the wiring and electrical connections. Measure output voltage and frequency under load.

COACH 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM

evaluate condition, location and type of battery bank. Verify charging. Measure no charging and charging voltages. Inspect cables and housing.

FRESH WATER SYSTEM

 verify operation of city fresh water hook-up. Inspect fresh water tank. Verify operation of onboard 12 volt water pump. Inspect for leaks. Operate all fresh water fixtures.

WASTE WATER SYSTEMS

verify operation of both waste (gray and black) plumbing systems, signs of leaks under sinks, showers and toilets. Verify operation of drain valves and presence of drain caps.

LIFE SAFETY SYSTEMS

Inspect, test and verify manufacture date of Smoke, CO and LP Detectors. Check GFCI operation. Test the Emergency Exit Window. Test for stray AC Voltage (Hot Skin Test). Test and document the LP System for leaks.

LP GAS SYSTEM

Locate and inspect LP tank(s), Verify manufacture date. Inspect hoses and regulator. If fitted, inspect ASME tank. Document manufacture date and capacity.when possible (depends on tank location)

REFRIGERATOR

Locate and identify the refrigerator. Operate on all heat sources. Measure and record inside temperatures. Confirm correct ventilation. Check and confirm recall has been completed if applicable.

WATER HEATER

 Locate and identify the water heater, brand model and capacity. Verify operation on gas and 120 Volt AC. Visually inspect burner assembly. Note presence or otherwise additional sealing around gas line.

Furnace 1

FURNACE

 Locate and identify the furnace brand model.. Verify operation to produce warm air. Inspect registers for blockages. Confirm controls operate. Note any unusual noises or vibration.

COOKTOP/STOVE

 Locate and identify the cooktop/stove. Evaluate condition. Confirm burner and over operation.

AIR CONDITIONERS

Locate and identify the air conditioners. Measure and report the Delta T. Inspect filters, registers and coils (where accessible)

WASHER/DRYER (if installed)

 Locate and identify washer/dryers. Verify operation if shore water/sewer hooks ups are available. Visually inspect hoses for leaks and condition. Evaluate and rate the dryer exhaust vent.
